The project to which I'm working, requires me to implement a beacon
manager, which will inject beacon packets into the network, through a
switch port.
What I need to know is, how can I create a timed event capable of
sending these packets?
I understand that in the documentation, directly u

It is the very difficult topic, I guess.
Because even if Ryu sent the FlowMod messages for installing flows, it is
depending on the
switch's implementation when the switch trigger events to reflect "really"

I haven't investigate the further though...
If simple_switch_stp_13 can work on the Flow Table 0 and then rest_router can
work on the Table 1,
they can work together, but we need to implement them to do so.
BTW, if you just need to avoid the topology loop, how about using the STP
feat

If Ryu works well on the Mininet topology, please confirm the packets sent from
your hardware
switches.
For example, capture the incoming packets using Wireshark or tcpdump on the
controller host,
then check of the incoming the Packet-In messages have the empty data.
