I'd rather suggest we make an effort to create and use as many Brew
packages (perhaps from our own) Brew (formulae) repo.

Sage 7.1 is almost 4 years old.
We don't know if it can work on a modern Linux Debian system.
Unless you have a pressing need to use version 7.1 (and then you are
probably on your own),
