Thanks! FWIW, the tarball in https://mirrors.mit.edu/sage/devel/ is 50x the size of the tarball for the gh repo and 75x the size of the sdist in pypi. It probably also takes on the order of 50x less time to build, and is maybe 10x easier to maintain wrt to doing the work of system integration
