Brilliant. I replaced cvxopt-0.8 with the 0.9 file you linked to,
and the compile worked perfectly.
I'm running Gentoo on ppc with `gfortran -v' --- `gcc 4.1.2'. I
downloaded my first SAGE tarball this week, so I'm new to the ball
game.
