I have installed sage 5.11 in the  following way.

santanu@santanu-Compaq-Presario-C700-Notebook-PC:~/Desktop/sage-5.11-linux-32bit-ubuntu_13.04-i686-Linux$

./sage

notebook()


Some functions work perfectly, but

when I write
M=matrix(ZZ,2,2,[1,2,3,4])

I have the following:
