You might want to consider just installing a linux virtual machine and building sage from source there. It's a little bit more work than importing an ova, but longterm it's more usable. The linux OS + built sage should fit in 10GBytes, so you can in principle have several versions On

[sage-support] adding all gap packages

I just built sage-7.3 under Centos7. Everything seems to have worked well : sage comes up fine and a few simple calculations work. The gap part on its won also comes up and works with simple tests, but there are no packages included. I'm now trying to add all the gap packages to the gap

I should correct that, the size of the .vdi file is in fact ~20GBytes not 8. On Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00:06 PM UTC-7, multiscalar wrote: > > I let VirtualBox do dynamic allocation for the disk. I installed Centos7 > development/creative station and built sage7.3 fr

I don't have access to Maple or Magma but I'd like to be able to do calculations like these to work with real simple lie algebras (Maple functions SplitAndCompatForms, SimpleLieAlgebraData,)
