Yes, they are slow - I think that's inherent in the API (they're
slow done directly as well).

I have found Perfmon checks to be painfully slow (3-5 seconds) compared to
all of the other checks.
I just assumed that this was a shortcoming of the Perfmon checks. Anyone
How about an additional status - so if something is not checked because
of the schedule, its status is Not checked, rather than Maintenance?

There's a fairly complete list on Microsoft's MSDN site, somewhere. But
it's easier to find an NT command prompt and do NET HELPMSG to
translate a particular error. Except that one, which translates as An
extended error has occurred ;-(
