Since 3.2 SAIF also works with sa_hostname as indicated in the doc on page

The down cycles are since the start of SA.
As for the other requests I'll have to have a look at how this can be done.

For those of you who love to play with beta version, there is a new beta

Mostly it's bugfixes and small enhancements over the 3.2.1087.
There is NO beta page for it yet (- we'll make one beginning next week),
just a download link and the info below on what has
every field text.
Would be nice to have a decoder sheet for the various fields though.

Servers Alive will resolve the name to an IP at the first occasion, this
might be the first check cycle and after an edit. So if the host you're
checking changes IP you have to restart Servers ALive OR issue a RELEASE
IP command on the telnet interface. (if I remember correctly the syntax).
If
Servers Alive needs a real modem to send out the SMS messages. A modem of a
cellphone isn't seen as a real modem and will (in most cases) not work
correctly.
But from a cost point of view you still would have the call from the
cell-phone to the provider and the cost of receiving the text
Currently it only does HTTP/1.0
There is no registry hack to change that.

was right, there was a problem with the SNMP check.
Basicly what happens is that both Servers Alive and the control used for
the SNMP check are checking if the timeout hasn't pasted yet and IF Servers
Alive sees it before the control, the control can't fire it's
to import data from the database into Excel using this ODBC
connection.
What dll / ocx does CheckODBC use?

Servers Alive connects to the port and waits (a max of timeout) to get a
correct return from the SMTP server. If it doesn't get anything back from
the server or something wrong back from the server you'll get that
logentry.
Why not use 3.3? It's a free update.
