Hello!
I am going to use several Sam images scanned from Sam Coupe user's
manual. Any ideas is it allowed ?
Many thanks to everyone who has replied to my query . I have worked out how
to run a programme automatically when a cartidge is inserted into the
microdrive and the RUN key is pressed
For those who are interested , this is it ...
call the programme that you wish to auto start ."run"
to
Erm, I seem to remember the way to do it was to save the file using the name
"run" - ie, three letters, lower case. (and obviously using the LINE xx
thing as well.) But I could be mistaken (it's been something like 6 years
since I last saw a microdrive let alone used one!)

If it's a reasonably powerful PC (probably a 166 MMX would be the minimum I
suppose) then you could try WinCoupe because it's way better than SimCoupe.
But it only runs in Win9x (also Nt and 2000 I think) so if you don't have
Windows running on your system then don't bother investigating that ...

That'll make the program auto-run when loaded, but I think what he was
asking was how to save a file so that it is possible to switch on the
machine, insert the cartridge, type RUN and watch the pro

Can anyone tell me the command line to save a programme to microdrive so
that it starts up automatically when you hit the RUN key ?
I can save and run programmes manually but Ive forgotten how to make it
happen automatically.

There you will find latest DOS version of SimCoupe:

Would anyone care to point me in the direction of the current version of
SimCoupe, and/or instructions?
This IBM PC clone has been sitting here for a year or 2, and seeing as I
got around to installing Linux a month or so ago, I might as well use
the thing for something useful, eh?
