I'm afraid I'm still working on a solution for protected disks. SimCoupe can be used with SAMDISK.SYS (part of the old SamDiskNT v1.1 package) to read normal format disks only. The current SamDisk 2.0 is also limited to reading/writing normal format disks, but the upcoming 2.1 will be able to image protected disks. After that is released I'll change SimCoupe to use the new fdrawcmd.sys driver so it can use protected disks directly. I've made a few tweaks to the proposed disk format, which seems likely to replace the existing SDF. The pre-format block includes a few extra parameters to help better describe some additional regular disk formats. There will also be an extra tag or two to store track-level data, as needed for the data-only field used for the Defender copy protection. I'll announce on here as soon as the new version is ready :-) Si
