Hi all,
does anybody know about official discs with various MasterDOS and SAMDOS
versions?
There are only two original discimages with versions 1.3 and 2.3 of the
MasterDOS in the FTP archive.
I have found these next versions: 1.0, 2.1, 2.2.
Have not got the version 2.4 but remember a short
I've had ago with your information and I have found out that your UFIA can
be anywhere
well at least below 8000 but the completed UFIA is sent to 4B50. Not what
the
good old Technical Manual said. Also it looks like with SAMDOS you can't
load files
using the Load a block of data hook code(161
Isn't MasterDOS effectively PD now? You could just require people to have
that.

Hi All
Can anyone tell me why the following code works with master DOS but not in
SAMDOS. The code should give the completed UFIA at IX+80 but samdos just
returns.
LD IX,UFIA
RST 8
As far as I remember SAMDOS uses fixed adresses for IX/UIFA.
UIFA must be equal 4B00 (I think).

Hello!
Could someone explain me what is where in SamDOS file descriptor ?
Before I re-invent the wheel...
Has anyone written a library for SamC that will do some basic disk access
(I'm thinking just load/save code files)
I want this functionality! And while I think it shouldn't take too much
playing around, thought I'd see if anyone had already done so.
Cheers,

Ummm.. Tim... QDOS is actually SAMDOS 2.2 with a front-end added onto it
which cleans up your system and tells you what hardware you have. That's
all - so it's the same copyright issue.

Given that in the good old days
However, disks have been sold with SAMDOS on them since time began, so I
personally wouldn't worry about it one iota.

am i right in thinking MasterDos isn't quite so free? i can't remember,
