Hello David
Good to hear from you! Hope you manage to find a SAM for a reasonable
price, they've been rocketing up recently.
Matthew Beaman is currently making HDMI boxes and a lot of people are
really happy with them, currently taking orders on the (good) Sam Coupe

Hi All,
I've made quite a number of Sam production soundtracks over the years, and
having sold my last real Coupe to someone on WoS many years ago I'm
thinking of buying another.
Is there a good way to get a VGA or HDMI box (with a real SAA-1099)
connected to vaguely modern hardware? If so
Hi and welcome,

Is there a correct/official version or are they completely interchangeable?
Does one refer to the machine and another the robot, or is that mix and

The real name is SAM Coupe - there was supposed to be machines to follow the
original so you'd have a range of SAM machines (and no, I don't count the
elite!)
I think they're kind of interchangeable now though. I tend to still write SAM
as it looks right to me. I know that Colin P uses Sam
SAMas Sam seems a bit wimpish
!spt.
Perhaps we had better set up a 'butch' user group for all those who use
'SAM' rather than "Sam' :-)

Things are getting a bit worked up on the list again! I can definitely see
both sides of the argument. Of course people don't have as much time for the
SAM anymore and part of the reason for that is that most of us were teenagers
when we had the time - nowadays we've grown up, got jobs etc

Perhaps it could prolong the life of the SAM by opening it
up to a new market?
The idea itself is in my opinion a good one, but as Justin
