I suppose you could design a Homebrew SAM Coupe with only a handful of
components ?

Z80 CPU (possibly Z84C0010PEC 10MHz)
512K SRAM
EPROM
EPM9320 Glue Logic, Video logic, Memory decoding etc
MB8877+WD9216 FDCs ?? These may be compatible with original SAM Disk Drives
?
8255 PIO for IDE interface (Hard Drive or CF Card )

There wasn't a lot of ICs in the original anyhow !
