I'm trying to learn about the interactions between SAMBA and Win2k
DCs. The eventual goal is to have a Win2k server with ADS working with
a FreeBSD SAMBA server. I've used the setup from
http://oslabs.mikro-net.com/fbsd_samba.html and many other articles as
the basis for what I've done so far.
I am out of the office on vacation from Tuesday August 10th until Monday August 23rd.

not show up in network neighbourhood. You can find it if you search for it.

Hi,
I just experienced exactly the same symptoms that you describe -- the
samba shares are accessible, and I can read/write to them, but the
windows backup program thinks it can't access mapped network drives
(mapped to samba shares).
Have you found a solution to this problem yet?
Best wishes,
Hi!

samba tuning for high performance ?
I have read all the samba docs available, so aim looking for others tips
besides the tcp tunings usually applied in smb.conf ?
