Running samba v3.0.33 (solaris). Using "security = domain". PDC is Windows
Server 2003.

Correct, authentication is handled by the AD DC via the Samba server. When
users try to access the server they're asked for user/password, but
authentication fails for Windows 7 clients not on the domain. I can get by

Hello I disabled samba4's user account , but can not see attribute
"ms-DS-User-Account-Disabled" ( checked via adsiedit.msc )
is this attribute exist in samba4 schema ? Is there another attribute
for this ?

but when i got some new traces from an upgraded RHEL 5.4 and new samba client

I tried pdbedit -P "maximum password age" -C -1, but with no effect.
pdbedit -r -c "[X]" test and retyping the password via "smbpasswd test"
had also no effect, curiously "pdbedit -v test" gives following:

Test issue with smbclient and if it works, then it is bug? in gui.
