Hi,
Are there any way to add options to /var/run/samba/smb_krb5/krb5.conf_DOMAIN?
I need to add udp_preference_limit and maybe have a better control on which
kdc's are used.

Hi,
I did upgrade from samba 3.0.28b to 3.4.9. Now the trust does not work anymore.
When we try to reestablish the trust, we get an error:

Hello,
I have samba 3.3.8 installed on CentOS 5.5 on a production server.
Winbind is filling up the logs with these messages:

Hi,
Like explained in my precedent mail (Permission Problems), I want to do
a share (called partinfo) with basic behaviour :

* everybody in group 'info' can modify file into the share (not only
owned files)

I would guess that the per-user settings should override the general
smb.conf settings.
I had problems with roaming profiles- I didn't want to use them but
sometimes on client logins/logouts the XP client would try to load or
create one. I have an ldap backend and eventually just deleted
Hi,
I finally found out why I didn't get any Kerberos tickets!
Something in /var/lib/samba was broken and when I cleared that directory it
worked.
/etc/init.d/winbind stop
/etc/init.d/smbd stop
/etc/init.d/nmbd stop
rm -rf /var/lib/samba
/etc/init.d/nmbd start
/etc/init.d/smbd start

Hello,
2010/12/6 Gaiseric Vandal gaiseric.van...@gmail.com:
I would guess that the per-user settings should override the general

If you use modern passdb such as tdbsam or ldapsam, logon path
parameter works only to set the default value for 'profile path'.

I have a Windows 200x AD Server and have a Linux box as a client
connected to the Windows domain having modified the native Kerberos,
smb.conf, and other files (not using Likewise).
It logs in to the domain fine and everything is happy.
There are NO local accounts in /etc/passwd except for the

Until very recently, we allowed reads by anonymous users. Can you
actually check the error code, and double-check with Wireshark, that the
