Hi all
I try to get Samba running on the recent Debian stable release.
All upgrades have been done and Samba was included in the OS Installation.
I use the Samba version 2.2.3a-12.3 for Debian.
smbd and nmbd are starting automaticly when the System is running.
The smb.conf is still the one from
- Define a raw printer in printcap as described in:

- Install the printer in Windows (as network printer of course) using the working
Windows drivers

Since you've compiled with default options, your smb.conf is located in
/usr/local/lib/smb.conf . You should copy your working smb.conf for version 2.2.7
(/etc/samba/smb.conf) to /usr/local/lib.
You should run ./testparm as well.

in your sources.list, then you have access to the latest binaries. If you want to
