I am desperate to know whether there is any successful
implementation of
Samba 3.0.x as member server of Microsoft Windows 2003 server running
Active Directory.
I have recently set up this configuration. It seems to be running

I now have a solution (or at least a work around) that is working
for me. I sort of stumbled across it, as I don't recall reading
any samba docs that mentions the need to have the realm name
in the smbuser file.
