I have inherited a Samba 2.2.8a server with 12 NetBIOS aliases along with a
normal NetBIOS name. This was thought to be a good method of partitioning
the shares and a way for logical referencing by a project. Admirable goals.
However, I am noticing that the WINS registration for some of these
samba version 2.2.8a
I am having problem understanding and correcting a problem
involving a multihomed samba application.
There are two different networks, (1) public side where
there exists a company wide WINS server, and (2) a private
backend network for inter-system transfers. Systems
The samba PDC is the only PDC for the given domain.
