Hi, I have posted this issue once but have not yet had a reply to it. Not sure maybe no one has an answer but I will try again. I have a linux box running SuSE 8.2 with samba 2.2.7-a58. Everything works well except when clients workstations copy files to their workstations, in particular my

Hi, Not sure what this could be but when copying files to the linux server running samba I don't have any problems with the speed at which it copies. If I copy the files from the server back to my workstation, running MAC OS X, it take twice as long in fact maybe even three times as long as when

[Samba] Cannot see home folder on MAC OS X

in my samba logfiles, I can see that the clients are connecting to samba using nobody as the username. Sure this is not right? Any help would be appreciated. I am just about running a default config of samba. Nothing fancy like PDC etc. No printers either. Thanks Regards Eugene Joubert
