Declaring a function that takes no arguments by using an empty list (as
in ()) is the nonprototyped form.
Declaring the same function by using the a list consisting only of
(void) is the prototyped form.

2.2 so that Stratus VOS can build Samba 2.2 properly. I have tested it
extensively on Stratus VOS without any problems (and of course it is tested
