That site basically says that MS is cheaper and faster than Linux 100% of the time. I
didn't expect MS would say anything different.

Fist Samba isn't needed to surf the internet. Make sure you have an ipaddress with
ifconfig.
Second you can check your samba version with:
smbd -V
Version 2.2.3a-13 for Debian

How can I kill a mounted windows share that has been removed. I
get this problem a lot since I am always rebooting the windows machines
and I can't unmount the smbfs. Any suggestions?
