I have a mixed network with windows macs using samba on Solaris9 for
file sharing.
When one of the macs opens a file (tex illustrator doc) then that file
remains locked even when the user has closed the doc.
When somebody else opens the file it becomes readonly. The file remains
listed as
I'm trying to upgrade från 2.28a to 3.02a on a solaris 8 server.
Everything works except that files with swedish characters in the name
show these characters as squares.
I'v tried setting unix charset to both ascii and utf-8 without much effect.
I have installed iconv 1.9 and ./configure shows
I have started testing 3.0 on solaris8 but when starting samba it
complains about not finding samba/lib/charsets/8859-15.so.
I have installed libiconv as a replacement for sun own iconv but that
didnt make any difference.
Does anybody know where I can find this file?

One of my customers decided to upgrade their domain server to 2003 and
after that the 2.2.8 samba server wouldnt join the domain.
I tried upgrading to samba 3 and that worked fine.
I could join the domain on the 2003 server and even access shares on
samba from the 2003 server.
Unfortunately
I havent been able to find a email addresss for webpage problems.

The Swedish mirror se.samba.org hasnt been working for some time now.

Could somebody please take at look at this problem.
