Sambains, I gotta samba setup where I use pam_mkhomedir.so to create
home dir for first time users. Same configuration is working on many
hosts and if I create a home directory manually, I can login, but not
on fly. And also when I change the /home permission to 777, its
creating home directory
Greetings!!!
I am using samba 3.0.28 clients authenticating AD R2 with SFU 3.5. I
have setup nss info to template, sfu get the uid, gid, home dir and
shell from AD.
The problem is it seems to be working for sometime, and then it says
could not get uid/gid pair. I am assuming some kind of caching

I am compiling the 3.2pre on RHEL4. I'm keep getting following error when I
do makerpms.sh. It cant find the library on source/bin.
+ install -m 755 source/bin/libmsrpc.so /var/tmp/samba-3.2.0-root
/usr/lib/libmsrpc.so
install: cannot stat `source/bin/libmsrpc.so': No such file or directory
Thanks volker...If that lib not required, then can we comment those lines in
spec file? or any other workaround? Have you(sernet) RPMed it?
Cheers, LA

I have configured winbind(3.26) on RHEL 4 host and initially everything
seems to be working. But the authentication stopped working after sometime.
When wbinfo -u is run, then again it starts working. Seems something is
timing out.
And trusted domain is set to no, but still the wbinfo shows the
greetings!! I have winbind nss info set to template sfu.
The winbind can fetch the uid,gid and shell from AD Schema, but cant seem
fetch secondary group information.
The OS is RHEL 4 and Samba 3.26. Guide me on how to fix this.
thanks in advance.
