Well, you might post your smb.conf. And you might post a
debug level 10 log of smbd leading up to this message
somewhere. Then, we might need to see the permissions of the
directories leading up to /var/lib/samba/usershares/.

To make some tests i make logs more verbose then the var partition exploded.
To make samba works fine i made this :

cleanup var partitions
kill some smbd process
make logs less verbose

If there is no open file then you can first try to clean file in
/run/samba and in /var/cache/samba (location on ubuntu) when samba is off.
By clean you mean remove all tdb files from /var/run/samba and /var/cache/samba
(i'm on debian) ?
i dont touch on tdb files in /var/lib/samba ?
I made some test without ldap only with a new machine with samba 3.5.6
tdbbackend
on the windows 7 station i modify the registry as said on the samba wiki
i apply the microsoft patch
The windows 7 join without problem the samba domain
users can login on without problem
then everything works

i'm using samba 3.2.5 on debian lenny.
Our service have some windows 7 station.
I saw on the wiki (http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Windows7) that only Samba 3.4
and Samba 3.3 worked.
Is there really no way to make work samba 3.2.5 (as domain controller)with
windows 7.

i'm looking for a solution to limit the login of a user .
i mean when a user is already loged on one machine, it's not possible
for him to log twice on an other machine at the same time.
is there a way to do that ??

My question is, is it dangerous for configuration files, tdb files
what is the way to make this upgrade.
