i didn't change anything in smb.conf
my problem : i noticed that for some stations (all are on windows xp
sp2) the logon.bat is not run (= no network mapping)
in this case, when i go to DOS and try to map like : net use g:
what about lsof ?
(Have a look at man for details)

recycle directory.

I have samba with LDAP backend, my goal is to write an interface in PHP
to manage adding/deletings users in groups.
But first of all : how does i do to show all the users in group
'group1' using ldapsearch ?

Debian sarge. Maping home directories for each user works fine. My goal
is now to map a network drive for all members of a group.
For example : if someone logs in and is member of group1 then he has a
drive letter J:

i have samba 3.0.7 on debian.
My logon.bat script is not run when i log in from a win xp sp1 station.
It does from a win 98.
When i go on the netlogon share and launch logon.bat i get this error
message (translate from french)
\\fs2\netlogon\logon.bat is not a valid win 32 application (only

sand-glass for a long time, then i launch logon.bat it takes about 6
minutes to open a DOS windows and to run (the maping are then created).
Same behaviour when copying logon.bat in the commun' share and try to
