I have several(about
20)win98 and (about 30)window2000 clients accessing a dos application on
our mandrake 8.2 samba 2.2.2 server and all of our win98 machines run fine with
the application, but on several or most all of the window2000 machines they get
disconnected from the network when

I believe that the first thing to do would be to upgrade to the latest
Samba release

This same thing just happened to me today. I went into the properties of
the printer on the win2000 machine and the port had not been assigned
correctly even though I had the path correct \\fmtliv\newcon and the driver
correct. Check your port, I hope this helps.
