Going through the examples and reading through the wiki's I still have not
found exactly what I was looking for in matching uid's and gid's.

Thanks, I'm working on the solution. You are probably not the only one who
hasn't tested this out. So far I have gotten the other ldap server up. And

also successful in shutting down 2 file servers which have been operational for
2 years. All I did was set the the ldap log level to 8

I have the following in my configuration file and recycle is working for the
share but
- versions is working as I expected
- touch does not seem to be changing the time on the files to show me when
they were deleted
- keeptree does not work when there are multiple users within a share and
I have set up my samba with winbind and it appears to be working fine. Altered
the pam.d/system-auth file and it is creating the user directories. The issue

PDC. I can get to my shares and when I create a file or directory the owner
and group for the file appears as

We are currently having a problem with a shared XL file on a samba
server. There have been no changes to this server in a couple of years
and this file has been in use during the whole time. This problem all
of a sudden just cropped up about 3 weeks ago.
UserA cannot open the file ThisFile.xls.
