COM Negotiate

How does the com_negotiate takes place my client supports list of Dialects including following .. .. LANMAN 1.0 NTLM 0.12 Null but the response comming from server (win2k m/c) shows that server is picking LANMAN 1.0 dialect ,Is there any way so that i can direct the server from Client's

how can i get rid of 12 character problem

i have shared some files in windows NT System and im trying to browse throgh following command on Linux System running samba smbclient -L NTWkstaion -U user1 this command gives me only the share names whose length is upto 12 character shares having length more then 12 characters are not shown

Problem accessing Shares Greater 12 character

im using samba 3.0 alpha.facing problem while accessing the share names greater then 12 characters...browser like kde of smbclient dont list me the long share name while it works fine for smaller share name wht should i do in the remedy of that problem sak
