Hi,
We have a Windows 2003 R2 server (Enterprise, 64-bit, SP2) and for some reason,
cannot print to our samba exported printers.
I can add the printer to the system, all drivers are available, but any

Hi,
I have a network with a Server running 3.0.14 (Debian sarge), which is
doing quite fine as a PDC and as a printer server (using cups). Almost.
Printing is working, I can print Windows test pages, I can print
from several applications, including MS office. But I cannot print

Gurus,
I have a Solaris 9 server with Samba 2.2.8a installed since December
02, working perfect. Last Friday I installed the last patch cluster from Sun
to the system (because of the root vulnerability), and this morning when I
came the printers are not working trough samba. The shares and
using
spoolss the printers were not working.
Cheers!
Pablo.-

Hi,
I successfully setup printing on my FreeBSD box
using Samba with apsfilter and lprng. However, I
have encountered two issues:
1) Cannot print multiple copies of documents from
my windows box (e.g. notepad). Only the first
copy is printed and the rest don't get printed.
I do not have that option for notepad, but I do for wordpad. I get two copies when I
ask
for it. No problem.
Here is my smb.conf file for my printer. Don't be mystified by the long
print command. That is just to capture the print job name for debugging
stuff and to get a decent display of the
Hi Joel,
Thank you for the info. Still not sure why I can't
do multiple prints. I'll just accept that
limitation and enjoy that my 1 copy printed
through samba/freebsd looks better than how
windows printed it :)
Cheers.
