I am attempting to get SWAT working under Samba 3.0.1.
The log.swat file shows an error "Unable to open configuration
file '/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf' "
The "make install" put the smb.conf file in /etc/samba" and samba
is happy. My question is how do I change where SWAT l
Hello all,
Could anyone tell me why I can not see all of my win2000 and NT
workstations on the status tab in swat? I can see some of them but not all,
and they are all logged to my domain.
My samba server is a RH9 machine with Samba 2.2.7 and swat
2.2.7a-7.9.0.

opportunity of creating that file, you may want to look in /etc/xinetd.d
to see if there is a file called "swat". If that file is there, then
you only need edit that file and change the "disable=yes" to
"disable=no" and then,

I am having poor luck in enabling SWAT. As this machine
has no inetd.conf file but instead has a xinetd.conf file.
To this file I have added the line:
swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /usr/sbin/swat swat
Then rebooted the system, restarted samba.
