I am running Samba on Fedora version 3.0.31-0 as a stand alone server and
running wins. This server is the domain master and has five other subnets that
it maintains a browser list.
A couple of times a week it has just stopped running with nothing noteworthy in
log.nmbd, nothing

i have a samba server 3.0.2 with 20 Win XP clients. Each time a client crashes the
samba crashes too... Samba is running on a 9.1 Suse Linux Pro. Can anybody help me
with that?

I am having trouble starting my nmb. I have tried to start it a number of times. I
tried via swat, using the shell, and it is set up to automatically start with smb. It
fails to shut down and start each time. I'm very new at this, and don't have the
trouble-shooting skills yet.
