i want to install the smbldap-tools package on SLES 8.
I get this error message:

perl(Crypt::SmbHash) is needed by

perl(Digest::SHA1) is needed by

sles 8. Does anybody know where to get the rpms ?

Why you try with gidNumber ?
If you try with the cn ?
smbldap-useradd -a -g Admins utente

I had the same problems.
I modified the smbldap-scripts in order to
get the right chat (commenting out first print line and adding OK at the
end, see a: and b: at the end of the mail)
passwd program = /usr/local/sbin/smbldap-passwd.pl_unix %u
passwd chat = *ew*password* %n\n *ew*password*
