I have a samba 3 working as a PDC with Ldap as a authentication backend.
I have a such problem, when user in windows try to change password to
samba by ctr+alt+delete, password is changing (password is also sync and
it works fine ), but the ldap attribute shadowLastChange doesnt change.

This might come across as a rather strange and interesting question related to
using machine account credentials to issue standalone ldap queries against an
Active Directory server.
We are using Samba and use 'ads' mode to join the machine onto the Active
Directory (net ads join).
How would I use apt-get to install these binaries? The reason I ask is
because I receive dependency errors when trying to install the binaries
using 'dpkg -i'

mismatch between the capitalization of the Windows account and the Unix
account (Administrator vs administrator) I managed to lock the account
before catching the discrepenacy.
