win2000, but when I reboot I'm reject (bad username ...).
I find in debug that the first param sent by the client was the login
and I think it must be the machines name.
Any idee ?

We use Samba 3 server for some video stuff (editing, rendering, and so
on) -- that's why performance is critical. We've tried a lot smb.conf
options, but Samba can't satisfy our requirements.
Our server configuration is as following:
* Hard drive: RAID5 (8 x Seagate 7200.10), 3ware 95
Just in case anyone is interested, this was a simple case of case
sensitivity of the username. The domain name needed to be in uppercase,
so the login had to be:
DOMAINNAME\username
And then everything worked fine. I think windows might automatically
use uppercase for domain names. You can chec

On our server I use samba 3.0.25 and on clients I use Windows 2000 and
Windows XP. To run both windows I have to use two separate sets of
profiles for each user. If a user "test" logs in win2k he uses profile
from /home/profiles/Win2K and if he longs in WinXP he uses profile from
