set permissions for it.
Thanks again.

Hi,
some time a go I started to try a migration form our old samba PDC
with smbpasswd user backend to a new ldap based.
I got to the point, that users can login to shares and now I'd liked to
set up the server as an PDC with ldap and machine accounts too.
The smbldap-toosl are installed and

What means to a certain point? You must add the machines on your centosbox

Hi. I have a problem with Samba in Ubuntu 9.10. In the last year I
configure a Samba Server in Centos 5.2 for a school, all ok. In this
year I did the same but in Ubuntu 9.10, but dont work. The students
connect the Samba Server, but when they create documents the Samba
Server disconnect them.
Hi,
I never got into that wins topic. In the config of the samba server
there is:
grep wins /etc/samba/smb.conf
name resolve order = wins bcast hosts
wins proxy = yes
wins support = yes
What may I check/setup?
