Hello.
Sounds like the problem I reported for 3.6.6.
Office .tmp-files could not be deleted (reappeared after refresh).
smbstatus crashed on showing them.
Unfortunatly noone responded back then.
There were greater changes in locking in 3.6.6.
We are now back on 3.6.5.

Hi Folks,
I am writing a VFS module, which creates virtual a file system in memory,
not on any physical storage. However, I really don't have any idea on how
to implement the VFS operation opendir and readdir, becuase SMB_STRUCT_DIR
is very hard to manipulate. For example, I can not malloc a

I wasn't able to narrow it down at that time, so I did not open a
bugreport for that.
Yes, 3.6.5 work nice, thanks. Did you open ticket about this? I can

Hi everyone
I have a S4 DC with a S3 fileserver. I want to create users and their
UninxHomeDirecory on the fileserver. I can do this with a script which
uses ldapmodify. Fine so far.
The user shows in getent passwd on the DC and in wbinfo -u on the S3 box
but does not show in getent passwd

As I mentioned before, I have a CentOS 6.3 system using SSSD (only) bound to
the (separate) samba4 DC as an LDAP/krb5 server. Client is using Samba

I have successfully joined the client to the domain. Keytab is fine,
kerberos works, ldapsearch works, etc. DNS is good. The machine

Hi,
Is there an easy way to get Samba v3.4.3 to respond to client requests to
change the read-only attribute by setting/unsetting the unix write bits?
For the shares in question, the unix permissions are not really important,
but managing the RO attribute is. It appears that this was the default

Hi!
We're running Samba4 (Version 4.0.0beta4) and are experiencing problems with
smb_panic actions which result in loads of sleep processes in the end taking
down the entire machine. This problem did not exist in prior builds for us
(upgraded from alpha17 to beta3 and then beta4). Are there
Hello,
I'm using samba4 as domain controller with new forest domain (not existing
domain) and everything is fine but.. one day when I usually do upgrades of
my system I saw samba4 will be upgraded to beta version. Everything went

Hi
I have got the same problem, I am able to connect to samba share via
smbclient. But when I use the same credentials to access the same share
from windows client it give an error.
Please advise if you were able to fix this.
