I've setup samba on my slacware box. Here is my smb.conf:

Hi,
I installed Samba from source, and the smbmount utility didn't install
(atleast it's not where it's supposed to be.) A find / -name smbm*
-print, turns up 2 C files (smbmount.c and smbmnt.c) in the source
directory.
My question is, how can I configure / make just the smbmount programs?
in advance.

users that are able to connect.
The only thing I have found that is different about this 7th user is the
fact that his username is 9 characters long.
Also, I added USERNAMEX to the smbpasswd file with the *remote*
password, is that correct or incorrect?
Thanks in advance.

(Obviously that would only be for the server side).
If this has already been done, please let me know where I can find a

Thanks.

Hi all
I'm not sure whether to go to the ppp lists for this, or the samba
lists. I thought I'd try here first.
I have a linux firewall using winbind to authenticate users coming in
with PPTP. It all seemed to work OK at first. After a while I noticed
that authentication was denied to users

In other words, the ntlm-auth helper and AD server says OK, but the
hashes aren't equal, which causes ppp to say mutual authentication
failed. I hacked the ppp sources (chap_ms.c) gently to output the two
hashes.
