Could someone provide some help tunnelling a connection through a ssh pipe

I think I am doing it correctly but can't map a samba share and can't figure
out how to debug it
I can't find any log files or any other way to determine how the
port 139
tunnel and am trying to troubleshoot what might be going wrong

OK, ssh goes through port 22, mapping a drive requires ports 137 and 139
I'm mounting a FAT partition on a linux ext3 fs server and I can change the
uid and gid of the mount point, but I can't get it to mount it 770 .. it
always mounts without group write permission
How can I mount it so the group has full permissions to it?
