Hello,
I'm just trying to compile latest release version of Samba downloaded
from samba.org and I'm getting these warnings. May I skip over?
It is just a little piece. It appears many times.

Sorry, but I don't agree. It can be usefull for Win9x clients, to have a
domain, because then they are able to logon to a WindowsNT Domain, and
thus having all the benefits, of logon scripts, roaming profiles, and

I applied the SignOrSeal registry change manually, but still no shares.
Until now, in smb.conf there was security = user set, so there was no domain
logon by the WIN98 stations either. Reading the text in

Hi.
In WinXP I can setup the permission of a file so that a user can modify
the file,
but he can not delete the file.
I wonder if this is posible in Linux + ACL patch + Samba 3.0 compilled
with --with-acl?
In posix ACL is no equivalent to Windows's enable/disable

Hello,
I'm using Samba 2.2.7 + XFS (1.1) + ACL + quotas on a Linux machine with
kernel 2.4.18. What I want to ask you - is Samba's quota support
reliable enough so I can use it at commercial environment ? (I'm asking
because of experimental flag at --with-quota in Samba .configure file)
Hello again (I hope it's not too much to have two questions in one day :),
Currently I'm testing quota support on Linux system with kernel 2.4.18 +
XFS 1.1 patch + Samba 2.2.7 (--with-quota compiled) and I went into one
really unpleasant problem when accesing Samba share from Windows 2000
