[Samba] profile not loading properly
Hello, I installed samba3.0 on my debian machine to act as a PDC. Everything seems to be working. The only problem is that I get errors reading and writing back to the profile. When I log in or log out, it gives me an error saying some file cannot be written. When I check the profiles folder on the server it's always empty. I changed the permissions on the folder and I still get the same error. Would anyone happen to know what is going on? cheers abs -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba

[Samba] samba pdc authentication problem
I set up my debian machine as a samba pdc. I added root as a samba user. In the smb.conf I added the domain admin group = @wheel and domain admin user = root. The only discreptancy I can see is that I don't have the group wheel. I tried setting that to root but when I try to add my winxp machine to the domain I get an error saying user root not found. Can someone please point me in the right direction? -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
Re: [Samba] samba pdc authentication problem
I don't know if this makes sense but it seems that i'm running version 3. abs On Tue, 22 Feb 2005 17:01:15 -0600, Paul Gienger [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I set up my debian machine as a samba pdc. Lets start with what version you're running? Your stated options below scream 2.2.x. I added root as a samba user. This would be a not-so-hot way to do things under the current versions, so lets get the first question answered first. -- -- Paul GiengerOffice: 701-281-1884 Applied Engineering Inc.
