Domain Controller and a Backup Domain Controller. All the clients are
Windows 2K or XP. I need the clients to reset their passwords every 30
days. I am having a hard time locating a procedure to set this feature.

I have not found any resources on the net that explain 'how to implement
password aging with Samba 2.x'. Some folks have reported scripting their
own solutions, perhaps querying chage and then modifying login scripts,
Is there a way to transfer a Samba printer database from one version to
another? I tried copying the .tdb files from v2.2.6 to v2.2.8pre1 but it
didn't seem to work. Some sort of upgrade path is needed here - it's a lot
of work to start over if you've got a lot of printers.

I have mounted a win98 machine from a ML8.1 samba 2.2.2
The win98 machine, as all windows machines do, crashed on me.
Now i can't unmount the mounted folder, If i do it from cli, i get
umount usr/Cad12: device busy.
Try
#lsof /usr/Cad12
to find which process to kill.
When you try to unmount a
standby fine if not used. the linux computer
will not go to standby,
something accesses the hard drive about every ten minutes.
if i unplug the
ethernet cable, the computer goes into standby after a while;
when i plug
it back, the computer wakes with in ten minutes. then i
unchecked
[accounts]
browseable = yes
path = /dev/accounts
read only = no
write list = accounts
create mask = 770
directory mask = 770

Try it with with:
read only = yes
It still my not work the way you want, but at least having a write list
will make sense.
