I`d like to know if it`s possible to configure user passwords to expire
after xx days and if it`s possible to show a dialogue to change the password
in windows clients

I run Samba 2.2.7-5.8.0 on Redhat Linux 8.0 as a PDC for my Windows XP
clients. All users use domain logons. If a system is running for more than 7
days, I keep getting Windows messages telling me the password will expire in
14 days. I do not have any password aging enabled on the Linux

Whenever a user logs on they recieve a message stating that the password

Does anyone know if implementing LDAP with samba will help this? I'd like

How can I change the Password must change: in pdbedit. We have a user
whose password has expired and not letting him back in the system. I'm
using tdbsam as the default backend.
I've man'd pdbedit with no success.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
