OK, problem fixed, For mandriva to allow passwd changes from windows clients, you need 1. pam password change = yes 2. password chat = *new*password* %n\n*Re-enter*new*password* %n\ *Password*changed* (to change the unix passwd, no?) This allows windows users to change both the samba and unix passwords from windows.
