We are using samba 2.2.8a on AIX 5.1. We use smbclient to print files to a
Windows 2000 server. I have been getting complaints from users that they
are losing print jobs. I setup a script to send 500 jobs to a paused print
queue and found that I usually lose a job and / or find a job that is a few
bytes short.

The error that I get is: Error writing file: Call timed out: server did not
respond after 20000 milliseconds
Call timed out: server did not respond after 20000 milliseconds closing
remote file .09:53:1153996-52306

I recently upgraded a test box to samba 3.0.3, but we are still getting the
same error.

Does anyone know how I can prevent smbclient from timing out (increase the
timeout value, make it retry when it gets this error, etc)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You
