However, iscan can use ADF without any problem.

Sam- could you edit /etc/sane.d/fujitsu.conf and add this line at the end:
usb 0x04c5 0x11a2
then, run 'scanimage -L' if no scanner is found, try running as root instead:
'sudo scanimage -L' it should at least find the scanner.
