DIN is the German standards body that actually 'invented' the A, B and

I try to use SANE with Cygwin without success.
I can compile the source but scanimage doesn't work with USB scanner
Do you know if the last version of SANE must work on cygwin or is it
only an experimental platform ?

I can't compile sanei_tcp.c under cygwin.
function sanei_tcp_read() is using MSG_WAITALL that is undefined on this
platform
possible workaround : add the define MSG_WAITALL if __CYGWIN__ is defined
is this the right solution ?

first, thanks to the sane team and the fujitsu backenders.
1.0.18 builds on ubuntu 6.06.1 and scanimage works well w/ most options that
i tested so far - color, batch... and i'm still testing different options to
scanimage.
however, the ADF Front, ADF Back, ADF Duplex option of course default
I can help you with
trying new versions, tracing usb-communication etc.
Just let me know, if there is a way to help you and point me to the
proper places, where documentation can be found.

I've just bought an epson 3490, and download the
sane-backends-2005-11-10.tar.gz and sane-frontends-2005-11-10.tar.gz.
While the flatbed seems to work as expected, the transparency unit doesn't.
I want to scan a negative film, but the resulting file is crossed by a
thick green line.
I've tried t

I've captured a log of a Windows scan (100dpi, colour) with a Canon Lide
80. It is available at
