[sane-devel] SANE and Canon Scan Lide 120

2015-05-03 Thread Nalin.x.Linux
Dear list,
Recently my friend bought a Canon Scan Lide 120 Scanner. Unfortunately
it seems to be not supported by SANE. So i would like to develop the driver
for lide 120 scanner. Please let me know if the scanner is alrady supported
or anyone currently developing the driver. Further guidance expected.
Thanking you Nalin.

[sane-devel] CanoScan 5600F

2015-05-03 Thread Jakub Mazur
Hello,

I found a following conversation regarding support of mentioned scanner:

 Hi,
I added the Canon Canoscan 5600F to the rules file and got the
 messages above.

I also got a box that said genesys :libusb:0011004 invalid arguement

Its is a great scanner if I can get it running. The Caon site does not
provide a Linux driver for this scanner and I thought genesys migth
 pick it up.

 Cheers

 Rowan

  Hello,

I don't have this model, and it isn't close enough to other ones I
have so I cannot finish support for it in the genesys backend. But if
you want, I can help you modify and test the backend to fully support
 this GL847 based scanner.

 Regards,
  Stef

I also have this scanner and would be interested in making it working
under Sane. Up to now I was able to make it working under VirtualBox
with Windows 10, but this is just temporary solution (until insider
preview expires ;). So if I could somehow help in adding it into genesys
backend, just let me know.

Regards, Kubsztal.

[sane-devel] Canon MX725

2015-05-03 Thread manfred

Hi,

please ignore the previous mail sent by me under address
barbara.und.manfred.geh...@t-online.de.

I replaced an HP all-in-one device by a Canon MX725.

The OS is openSuse 13.1

The decive is connected via usb.

The printer is recognized ( vendorID: 04a9, productID: 176a, serial
number 309253) and printing works work very well.

With the vendor- etc. ID another device is recognized but labelled as an
unclassified device. I guess that is the scanner.

What can I do to get the little beast run?
What other information do you need?

Thanks
Manfred
