Greetings,
I have a Canon D530 Printer/Copy/Scanner and would really like to be able
to scan in Linux via sane. I'm currently using Fedora 20_x86 and would be
happy to volunteer for testing.

Hi
I just purchased this scanner yesterday.
Using Ubuntu 14.04 X86_64.
Tried it with the standard 1.0.23 that came with Ubuntu. Didn't work obviously.
Then I downloaded the latest GIT devel package and tried hacking it by find
and replacing all the references to the earlier Canon CanoScan
and here's the LSUSB dump. in case its of any help.
I'm willing to help hack a solution for this, since this new model of the canon
lide series is bound to become popular over the next weeks / months (its not a
niche model).

Couldn't open device,
I installed brscan-skey, result is more or less the same : I get a 36
octet .pnm file !
Still looking
