All examples and "correct" forms in the previous message stand without any change. What a difference a few sUtras make! In trying to do "simple" I missed out on a few sUtras regarding the anusvAra. Even if it were one of those "applicable" pratyayas, the rules for anusvAra and visargasandhi would not have been applicable (for the reason quoted above).
